MyBuys' Top Tips for Effortless Holiday Shopping

Leading Personalized Product Recommendation Service Advises How to Find the Perfect Gift Without Driving Yourself Crazy

Redwood City, CA--December 3, 2007 - MyBuys™, a leading one-to-one personalized product recommendation service, today released its list of tips to ensure stress-free online holiday shopping. With high gas prices and the crush of holiday activities, more and more shoppers are avoiding the annual mall mayhem, instead opting to complete their holiday shopping from the comfort and convenience of their offices and homes. In fact, according to the National Retail Federation's 2007 Consumer Intentions and Actions Survey, consumers plan to do more than 30 percent of their holiday shopping online, a significant increase from last year. With more consumers shopping online this season, some retailers are offering a more personalized shopping experience, and a recent survey proves online shoppers are choosing retailers that do. A survey sponsored by MyBuys and conducted by Harris Interactive(R) revealed that the majority of online shoppers (60 percent) are more likely to shop with a retailer that follows up with specific product recommendations based on their individual interests and past purchases, rather than retailers that send generic one-size-fits-all emails. But not everyone is making it easier this holiday, so as consumers scramble to find that perfect gift, these tips will ensure an easier experience as they point and click their way through the holiday shopping season.

Tip 1: Log on and let your fingers do the shopping--Avoid the sticker shock at the gas pump and the endless lines at the cash registers by doing your holiday shopping online. Cyber shopping allows you to free yourself from the hassles commonly associated with the holiday shopping rush.

Tip 2: The early bird gets the deal!--Traditionally, many shoppers wait until after the holidays to snag the hot sales items, but many retailers offer deeper discounts on merchandise before and during the holiday shopping season. By shopping early, you'll be able to take advantage of retailers' sizzling seasonal promotions and shipping discounts while also avoiding out-of-stock situations on highly sought after gifts.

Tip 3: Make your list and check it twice--Eliminate the last minute shopping scramble by creating a gift list and double checking it to make sure everyone is included. Brainstorm present ideas in advance and start shopping early, to avoid hefty rush delivery fees and empty aisles.

Tip 4: You've got mail!--Check your email inbox for exciting holiday offers and personalized gift suggestions from retailers. Retailers often announce pre-arrival promotions, top sellers or one-day special sales in targeted emails to consumers.

Tip 5: It's all about you--Make it easier on yourself by shopping where retailers pay attention to what you want. Sophisticated retailers now try to deliver a better shopping experience by showing merchandise that appeals to your desires.

Tip 6: Treat yourself! --While the old adage says, "'Tis better to give than receive," why not indulge yourself during the hustle and bustle of the holiday shopping season and add a gift just for you to your cyber shopping cart?
